Yamuna Expressway

Intelligent Traffic Management Systems (ITMS)

Yamuna Expressway is a six-lane, 165 km long, controlled-access expressway connecting Greater Noida with Agra. It is India’s one of the longest six-lane controlled-access expressway stretch. To accomplish this project, a statutory body Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEA) was constituted. The project was developed with an idea to not only reduce the travel time but to provide the base for convergence to tourism and other allied industries as well.

The project has been instrumental in bringing down congestion because of incidents and accidents due to non-adherence to traffic rules.

Yamuna Expressway Toll Management Systems (TMS)

Yamuna Expressway is a 165 km stretch connecting Greater Noida and Agra, with a total of three main toll plazas. These toll plazas constitute six dedicated Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) lanes equipped with RFID transmitters.

The project has been instrumental in providing smooth traffic flow at all the electronic toll collection booths across Yamuna Expressway.
