To manage and execute outreach opportunities related to specific issues of health, education, crime, civic, housing, transport and working of elected representatives. Creating, delivering and managing capacity building programs with elected representatives, executive, media and citizens including college students, citizen groups and corporate citizens.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work extensively and engage with Elected Representatives, Executives and Citizens
Establish a network of project-partners at municipal, regional and national levels and provide a professional platform for further networking and partnership building between the government, local authorities, civil society, and other development organizations in the subject area to achieve progress in project implementation
Review the issue/vertical based research performed by the Capacity building and ER and Executive Officer.
Overlook the Co-ordination of workshops for various stakeholders performed by the officers
Prepare and write detailed event and activity reports
Handle communication and other outreach activities with the stakeholders
Be willing to travel extensively within the city and outstation as required (60% time will be spent on the field; 40% within the office)
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Graduate or Post graduate, preferably, in Public Administration/Social Work/Political Science/Management/Public Health/Criminology/Law. Even graduate/post-graduate in other subjects with an inclination towards development sector/public policy work will be considered
5-8 years of relevant experience in project management preferably with an evaluation organization.
Understanding of Right to Information Act
Understanding of political, governance and democratic concepts and working of administration
Comfortable with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
Has a mix of strategic and tactical approach to work and planning
Good computer skills: Microsoft Word/Excel/ PowerPoint and Internet/Social media
Good communication skills (written and oral) in English
Working knowledge of Hindi is a pre-requisite
Self-motivated with a strong sense of commitment to work under minimal supervision
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work in a deadline driven and dynamic environment
